Role Description:
The Senior Systems Engineer is an exciting opportunity based at our Muja Power Station site.
This role that focuses on how to design, manage and maintain complex engineering systems over their life cycles. Systems engineering deals with work-processes, budgets, optimization methods, and risk management tools. It overlaps technical and human-cantered disciplines such as plant maintenance, and project management. Systems engineering ensures that all likely aspects of a project or system are considered and integrated into a whole.
The role requires asset life cycle plans to be developed, implemented and maintained. The role will also provide day-to-day engineering and maintenance support for the power station and ensure that all station mechanical and engineering matters are addressed in a consistent, timely, safe, reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Job responsibilities:
- Accountable to Provide Asset management and Production Support at a Power Station or within a specialised Engineering Stream.
- Develop, implement and maintain Asset Life Cycle Plans and maintenance tables for all assets within systems and support the Production Groups in the resolution of day-to-day engineering and maintenance problems.
- Develop plant asset plans and associated CAPEX/OPEX Investment strategy, develop, maintain and implement budget requirements.
- Management and control of the systems maintenance budgets and spending plans.
- Identify Asset sustaining compliance and commercial investment requirements and conduct engineering investigations and perform risk-based plant assessments and develop associated plant strategies.
- Review and report on process, plant performance and reliability impacts and establish site mechanical
engineering standards and procedures to ensure compliance with site, corporate and external directives.
What you will bring:
- Degree Mechanical Engineering.
- Eligible for Chartered Membership of Engineers Australia.
- WA Drivers Licence Class “C”.
- Experience in power station mechanical engineering, maintenance models, policies and procedures.
- Experience in financial and modeling skills.
