Role Description:
This is a rare and high-impact opportunity to join Synergy’s executive leadership team as Executive General Manager – Future Energy. You will provide strategic leadership to accelerate the organisations transition to a low carbon, sustainable and resilient energy future.
The role shapes and directs future energy strategy, driving innovation in renewable generations, decarbonisation pathways, energy storage, emerging technologies and system integration. It ensures alignment with government energy policy, climate goals and the organisations long term growth objectives.
A key aspect is the ability to operate effectively across operational, delivery, and commercial domains, driving decisions that align with organisational strategy.
This position leads multi- disciplinary teams to develop and deliver programs that enable secure, affordable and clean energy while strengthening partnerships with industry, regulators and community stakeholders to support equitable and sustainable outcomes.
Job responsibilities:
- Champion Synergy’s transition to a low-carbon, resilient energy future.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, affordable, and clean energy programs.
- Oversee asset management and operational performance of renewable portfolios.
- Develop DER operational capability and integration into the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM).
- Drive the expansion of Synergy’s renewable generation capacity.
- Foster a high-performance culture aligned with Synergy’s strategic goals.
