Role Description:

The Information Management Specialist role is an opportunity in our Cyber Security and Information Management Team based at our Perth Office. The role is being offered as a Permanent Full-Time opportunity.  

 

You will be responsibly to act as a subject matter expert in records management, supporting the business in implementing and continuously improving records management and information sharing practices, ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and organisational requirements (including FOI and PRIS). Provide education, guidance, and support to staff, facilitate knowledge sharing, and contribute to Synergy’s readiness for evolving privacy and information sharing legislation.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of information and record management frameworks, policies, procedures and systems including maintenance of the Synergy Record Keeping Plan
  • Register, classify, and manage records
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to business units and leadership on complex information management matters including retention guidance
  • Develop and deliver advanced training and capability uplift programmes
  • Contribute to information management projects and legislative readiness initiatives (e.g., PRIS readiness implementation)

What you will bring:

  • 10+ years’ experience in records/information management
  • Demonstrated expertise in complex records management
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in applying the principles and objectives of the State Records Act 2000
  • Experience administering EDRMS platforms such as OpenText
  • Experience preparing and delivering education material
