Role Description:

The Junior Software Engineer is a newly created opportunity in our Wholesale Platforms Team based at our Perth Central Park site.

 

This role will support the design and development and support of Synergy’s Wholesale Platforms applications and integrations, aligning to Synergy’s WP development standards.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop technical expertise in system design, programming practices, tools, required platforms and integrations, while creating quality, Synergy-compliant code, supported by unit and integration tests using the necessary technologies.
  • Collaborate with the development team, testers, project teams and business stakeholders.
  • Work in an Agile software development environment, participating in daily standups, and utilising Azure DevOps to manage sprints, stories and tasks, and Git for code repository.
  • Support and improve WBU Applications across a variety of measures including stability, scalability, and performance, with the goal of continuing to meet Synergy’s business needs

What you will bring:

  • Experience in one or more of the following: Java Ecosystem, Eclipse, ASP.NET Core, C#.NET, Angular 8+, JavaScript/Typescript, or Python.
  • Min 1 years’ experience in a software development role/internship.
  • University degree in a suitable discipline (e.g. Software Engineering, Computer Science).
  • Ability to quickly learn new software products and technologies, paired with a high degree of strategic thinking.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills (including analysis, design, development, and testing), and meticulous attention to detail.
