Role Description:

The Leadership Development Specialist is a new created opportunity working in our Perth CBD office. 

Synergy’s Organisational Development and Learning (OD&L) team is supporting a workforce that is building readiness for the future and empowering leadership through ongoing growth, striving for continuous improvement. The team is responsible for building and growing capability across all levels of the organisation to ensure a ready and future fit workforce, evolve culture, drive employee engagement, and ensure the long terms success of leaders and the organisation.

The primary purpose of the Leadership Development Specialist is to plan, design, develop, facilitate, evaluate and review Synergy’s leadership development programs. The role is responsible for building future ready leaders, closing competency gaps and enabling our leaders to foster an exceptional workplace. The incumbent is an excellent facilitator and instructional designer, able to develop learning solutions in a range of formats including face-to-face and e-learning.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end leader induction program for externally recruited and internally promoted leaders at Synergy, ensuring they are set up for success.
  • Create and manage a modular, blended learning solution which supports leaders to execute what is expected of them in leading team members through Synergy’s employee experience.
  • Create and manage a leadership mentoring program, including developing learning resources to ensure mentors and mentees are set up for success.
  • Apply learning and development expertise to design blended learning solutions which are fit for purpose and deliver maximum return on investment.
  • Liaise closely with leadership and organisational development subject matter experts to understand learning requirements and deliver a suite of leadership development programs which is continuously refreshed to aligned to business needs and global trends, including both internally developed and externally sourced programs.

What you will bring:

  • Demonstrated excellence in facilitation, with a genuine passion for creating engaging and impactful learning experiences.
  • Proven experience applying instructional design principles.
  • Proven experience with eLearning authoring tools such as RISE and Articulate.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent and at least 7 years’ experience in senior learning and development roles in a corporate working environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in learning and development roles, including projects requiring change management strategies, stakeholder engagement, influential communications, co-design and facilitation activities.
