Role Description:
The Learning Program Specialist is an exciting 12-month contract opportunity in our OD & Learning team based at our Perth CBD office.
The purpose of the Learning Program Specialist is to position Synergy as a leader in enterprise learning through the design and delivery of high-impact, future-focused learning programs.
This role is responsible for analysing, designing, developing, delivering, and continuously improving learning experiences that build organisational capability across compliance, technical, and social value domains. Working in partnership with OD and business partnering and other key stakeholders, the role ensures Synergy’s workforce has the skills and capabilities required to meet current and future strategic objectives. It also plays a key role in aligning learning frameworks and initiatives to broader organisational strategies, enabling a seamless and scalable approach to capability development.
Job responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, sustainable enterprise learning solutions that address compliance, technical, and future skills needs, ensuring alignment with Synergy’s strategic objectives and risk management requirements.
- Apply instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create engaging, inclusive, and impactful learning experiences across digital, blended, and in-person formats, leveraging innovative and personalised approaches.
- Facilitate enterprise learning programs that foster collaboration, reflection, and practical application - including technical inductions, compliance training, and capability-building workshops - adapting delivery style to suit diverse audiences and contexts.
- Identify emerging skill needs and design learning pathways that support career progression, role transitions, and cross-functional capability, aligned with the Strategic Workforce Plan and organisational priorities.
- Partner with OD and Business Partnering to ensure learning initiatives support long-term capability development and talent pipelines.
What you will bring:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or relevant field, or equivalent of 7-10 years’ experience in senior training or L&D roles.
- Experience with analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation of learning programs.
- Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate RISE.
- Must be customer service oriented, sensitive to the needs of key stakeholders.
- Must be willing to travel occasionally to our Generation sites.
