Role Description:

The Project Engineer - Wind Farm is a newly created opportunity in our Major Projects team based in our Future Energy Business Unit at our Perth CBD Offices. This role involves travel to site regularly.

This is a 24 month fixed-term contract.

The purpose of the role is to manage the delivery of elements of the nominated contract packages for King Rocks Wind Farm utilising technical discipline, stakeholder, and project management skills.  This role is essential for ensuring compliance with Major Projects Delivery Standard (MPDS) lifecycle and supporting the project manager in achieving project goals.

Job responsibilities:

  • Oversee package delivery and engineering tasks and support commissioning tasks, including contract package reviews and support of contracts lead. 
  • Provide technical, operational, financial, and managerial leadership for successful implementation of contract package works within overall project objectives. 
  • Manage the package budget and schedule, ensuring necessary approvals for site work. 
  • Undertake package forecasting and liaise with lead planner and financial analyst to update schedule and costs.  
  • Verify the quality of deliverables from vendors and contractors

What you will bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project/ contract management, engineering and construction environment.    
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • A track record of project management on client side, ideally successfully managing contractors delivering packages in range of AUD $1-100 million.
  • An understanding of renewable energy infrastructure is desirable.
  • Proven expertise in stakeholder management and communication, with a history of fostering strong relationships.
