Role Description:
The End User Technology SOE Officer role is a newly created opportunity in our End User Technology Team based at our Perth Central Park site.
This role is responsible for the implementation of Synergy’s standard operating environment (SOE). This includes providing operational support and maintaining Windows environments, deploying policies and controls to ensure a seamless, secure, and optimized user experience across all platforms. This role also handles critical incidents, address threats and vulnerabilities through regular patching, and focus on enhancing the overall cybersecurity of our environment.
Job responsibilities:
- Effective management of the Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), Active Directory (AD), Group Policy (GP), and Intune environments, ensuring it is fit for purpose, stable and reliable.
- Manage Synergy’s approved standard and non-standard software, ensuring regular and automated patching.
- Implement security measures to protect Synergy systems from vulnerabilities and threats.
- Ensure Synergy’s compliance with the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act (SOCI) and Essential Eight guidelines.
- Deploy efficiencies and ensure continuous improvement using appropriate automation, and new technologies.
What you will bring:
- Proven track record in a SOE engineer role within a large/enterprise scale environment.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience of desktop operating systems specifically Windows 10 and 11.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience of SCCM, GP, Active Directory (AD), Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Intune, scripting (PowerShell).
- Ability to stick to strict deadlines, prioritise and escalate and engage vendor support.
- Ability to keep an open mind, adapt to change, collaborate effectively, be curious and eager to learn, and work well as part of a team.
