Role Description:
The Senior Business Analyst is a 12 month fixed term contract in our Customer Business Unit based at our Central Park offices in Perth.
The Senior Business Analyst provides critical analytical expertise and insights to support the Customer Safeguard Program, enabling informed decision-making and efficient operational delivery. Working closely with program leads and cross-functional teams, the role ensures effective execution of customer safeguard, campaign planning, and workforce optimisation.
This position leads the analysis of customer payment data to identify trends and improvement opportunities, supporting the development of compliant, customer-focused solutions. It also ensures business requirements are clearly understood, and processes are mapped and documented so that solutions are implemented and operationalised to deliver sustainable value to the business
Job responsibilities:
- Analyse business situations to identify issues and recommend improvement opportunities, identify risks associated with proposed solutions and ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops to map and document business requirements and processes aligned to programme goals.
- Prioritise and categorise requirements, ensuring traceability to business needs and conducting impact analysis.
- Continuously build business analysis capability and share knowledge within the analysis community.
- Drive process optimisation and contribute to best practice frameworks for business analysis.
What you will bring:
- Tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g. finance, economics, mathematics or data science)
- 5+ years’ experience in business analysis within customer operations or Safeguard Programs.
- Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, SQL)
- Experience in energy, utilities, or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with SUC obligations and customer compliance frameworks
