Role Description:
The Senior Government Relations Advisor Role is an opportunity in our Government Relations Team based at our Perth Office. The role is being offered as a Max-Term Contract until Mid-April 2026.
You will be responsible for managing ministerial correspondence, for drafting and coordinating responses to government inquires, and contributing to Synergy’s government relations strategy.
Job responsibilities:
- Build and maintain professional relationships with members of government entities and agencies
- Provide high-quality services to the Office of the Minister for Energy, including monitoring and tracking information disclosures
- Ensure all ministerial and government correspondence complies with the agreed communications protocol, including parliamentary questions, FOIs, submissions, and briefing notes
- Respond to urgent and ad hoc requests from the Minister’s office and other government stakeholders
- Support strategic planning for current and emerging government activities relevant to Synergy and the energy sector
What you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in public affairs, communications, or government relations
- Sound understanding of legislative frameworks is preferrable
- Excellent written communication skills
- A proactive mindset with the ability to pivot and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
