Role Description:

The Senior Government Relations Advisor Role is an opportunity in our Government Relations Team based at our Perth Office. The role is being offered as a Max-Term Contract until Mid-April 2026.

You will be responsible for managing ministerial correspondence, for drafting and coordinating responses to government inquires, and contributing to Synergy’s government relations strategy.

Job responsibilities:

Build and maintain professional relationships with members of government entities and agencies
Provide high-quality services to the Office of the Minister for Energy, including monitoring and tracking information disclosures
Ensure all ministerial and government correspondence complies with the agreed communications protocol, including parliamentary questions, FOIs, submissions, and briefing notes
Respond to urgent and ad hoc requests from the Minister’s office and other government stakeholders
Support strategic planning for current and emerging government activities relevant to Synergy and the energy sector

What you will bring:

Demonstrated experience in public affairs, communications, or government relations
Sound understanding of legislative frameworks is preferrable
Excellent written communication skills
A proactive mindset with the ability to pivot and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
