Role Description:

The Service Lifecycle Lead is a newly created opportunity in our Technology and Business Services Team based at our Perth Office. This role is responsible for establishing, managing, and governing key transition and lifecycle Service Management disciplines across the organisation. It ensures that services are effectively configured, catalogued, transitioned, and managed in alignment with business needs and compliance requirements. The role provides expert guidance and operational leadership in the areas of Service Configuration Management, Service Catalogue, Transition to Support, and Application Lifecycle Management.

Job responsibilities:

  • Service Configuration Management: Govern the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in ServiceNow and oversee ServiceNow Discovery processes, including leading Service Mapping activities.
  • Service Catalogue: Maintain and enhance the Service Catalogue (Operational Services Register) to ensure accuracy and usability. Collaborate with service owners and technical teams to maintain service design documentation.
  • Transition to Support: Lead the implementation and governance of Transition to Support processes to ensure operational readiness.
  • Application Lifecycle Management: Monitor the end-of-life of applications and govern the associated risk assessments performed by Technical Service Managers.
  • Service Management Roadmap: Contribute to and support the development of the service management roadmap. Lead the implementation of assigned initiatives from the service management roadmap. In addition this role will be required to be part of a Major Incident Manager on-call roster.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 8 years+ of IT and business work experience with a broad range of exposure to various business segments and technical environments.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, particularly CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices and service lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to manage configuration and transition practices.
