Role Description:

The Technology Provider Account Manager role is a newly created opportunity in our Technology and Business Services Unit based at our Central Park Office in Perth.

 

The Technology Provider Account Manager is essential to establishing and maintaining strong, collaborative and productive commercial relationships with DER Technology Providers. This role will work closely with the DER Technology Provider Lead to develop and maintain these relationships, while also managing the contract management framework and associated business processes for Technology Providers.

 

This role will deliver the end‑to‑end contracting lifecycle, from vendor onboarding through to contract execution and payment processes, compliance management (in collaboration with operational teams), and offboarding.

 

The role acts as the central point of accountability for commercial governance and contractual compliance, working closely with Legal, Procurement, Finance, DER Platform Operations and DER Technology Operations.

Job responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary interface for Synergy’s engagement with Distributed Energy Resources (DER) Technology Providers on commercial and contractual matters. DER Technology Providers are typically inverter manufacturers and other relevant software and hardware solution providers in the DER ecosystem.
  • Support the DER Technology Provider Lead to establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with Technology Providers to support performance and strategic alignment.
  • Lead the end-to-end contracting lifecycle, including briefing Technology Providers on contracting requirements and sharing template agreement, co-ordinating contract negotiation and approval, contract execution and onboarding.
  • Support enforcement of contractual obligations, program requirements, and regulatory frameworks. Identify, escalate, and resolve non-compliance issues, including remediation and corrective actions.
  • Oversee end-to-end payment and invoicing processes for Technology Providers.

What you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Business, Commerce, Law, Engineering, Finance, or similar.
  • Strong commercial acumen and demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strong commercial relationships.
  • Experience in contract management, vendor or commercial management, and oversight of delivery partners within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Exposure to performance-based contracts, including service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Experience in the energy sector and specifically in DER highly valuable.
