Role Description:

Vacation Student Program – Cyber Security Analyst

At Synergy, our early careers programs are designed to spark curiosity, build capability, and help shape the workforce of the future by empowering emerging talent.

Synergy’s Vacation Student Program offers students hands-on experience in the energy sector. As a Vacation Student, you’ll contribute to meaningful tasks and projects that provide valuable, real-world learning opportunities, helping you build the skills and confidence to shape your future career.

Our program commences in November 2025 and offers opportunities across multiple disciplines, including:

  • Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical and Civil
  • Data Analyst
  • Energy Market Analyst (Finance / Economics / Mathematics highly valued)
  • Cyber Security

Setting you up for success with Synergy

How does the program work?

  • As part of Synergy’s Vacation Student program, you will build your understanding of the energy industry and how we operate.
  • Our Summer Vacation program runs for three months and is designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience, skills and knowledge to set you up for success.
  • Each participant is supported by a dedicated supervisor, ensuring structured development and insight into our business, while exploring potential career pathways with us.

What you will bring:

Who is eligible for the program?

To be eligible, it is essential you are currently studying a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the discipline you are interested in and will be entering your final year of study in 2026. 

An eligible candidate must also:

  • Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have an appropriate work visa.
  • Undertake a National Police Check and other pre-employment checks
