Role Description:

The Works Portfolio Manager is a new role which report into the Head of Technology Business Services (TBS) Delivery Enablement based within the TBS Business Unit, located at our CBD Office.

 

This role is responsible for the systematic and programmatic management and delivery of multiple work packages across technology and property.

 

Working closely with technologists and property specialists, this role supports the planning, management, and organisation of activities and resources, and plays a critical part in aligning delivery efforts with strategic objectives, ensuring governance compliance, and driving continuous improvement across a portfolio of works. 

Job responsibilities:

  • Define and manage portfolio work packages, ensure aligned with business priorities and delivered using established frameworks and best practices.
  • Identify, assess, and track risks and issues across the portfolio and coordinating mitigation strategies.
  • Break work packages into clear scopes, with defined outcomes, resourcing requirements, and constraints.
  • Develop and maintain business cases, scopes of work, tender/quoting documentation, and supporting artefacts to secure resources and stakeholder buy-in.
  • Manage regular updates, reviews, and decision-making forums with stakeholders.

What you will bring:

  • 10+ years’ experience in project and portfolio delivery
  • Experience at writing well defined, succinct, and clear portfolio artefacts, such as business cases, tender documents, scopes of work.
  • Project or portfolio planning, governance, coordination, and compliance.
  • Significant experience with project controls, scheduling, governance across the project lifecycle.
  • Current valid WA driver’s licence.
