Role Description:
The Head of Energy Operations Pinjar & Regional is an exciting and newly created opportunity in our Thermal Generation Business Unit based at our Pinjar site.
The purpose of the role is to lead the strategic, operational, and commercial performance of the Pinjar & Regional Energy assets portfolio, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient energy production and supply.
The role will drive innovation and sustainability initiatives, oversee integration of emerging technologies and maintain compliance with environmental, safety, and market regulations.
The Head of Energy Operations will provide leadership through periods of transition while fostering strong stakeholder relationships and aligning operational decisions with long-term business objectives.
Job responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and mentorship, ensuring alignment with strategy while empowering individuals to achieve their potential
- Oversee safe, reliable and efficient operation of energy production and supply facilities
- Drive continuous improvement in asset performance, emissions reduction and cost optimisation
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and market regulations
- Manage budgets, capital investments and risk across the energy operations and emerging technology portfolio
What you will bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, or related discipline with extensive leadership experience
- Experience managing complex operations with multiple assets and technologies
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and integration across teams and business units to improve operational efficiency, and strategic alignment
- Strong background in ensuring safe and reliable operations
- Ability to oversee life-extension projects and integrate new technologies
