Role Description:
The Mechanical Technical Officer is a newly created opportunity based at our Pinjar Power Station site. The purpose of the role is to carry out a high level technical, commercial, and supervisory activities associated with the operation and maintenance of gas turbine a sustainable plant both within and external to Synergy.
Job responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise/coordinate or carry out activities, associated with manufacture, installation, isolation/de - isolation, permit to work, commissioning, operation and maintenance/repair of equipment and systems as required.
- Carry out technical inspection, prepare reports with recommendations and/or arrange necessary action and develop method sheets for major plant as required.
- Manage maintenance outage projects in accordance with budget, to time targets whilst maintaining quality standards.
- Supervise, monitor performance, coordinate and check works carried out by staff, contractors and consultants.
- Prepare/check/assess/coordinate designs, calculations, estimates, sketches, specifications/tenders, working drawings and schedules.
What you will bring:
- Advanced TAFE certificate or a TAFE diploma in relevant discipline
- A trade certificate in the relevant discipline.
- Relevant industry experience, skills and knowledge covering:
- Gas Turbine Operation and Maintenance.
- Inspection/testing practices.
- Equipment maintenance/repair practices and equipment commission/operation practice.
