Role Description:

The Mechanical Technical Officer is a newly created opportunity based at our Pinjar Power Station site. The purpose of the role is to carry out a high level technical, commercial, and supervisory activities associated with the operation and maintenance of gas turbine a sustainable plant both within and external to Synergy.

Job responsibilities:

Plan, supervise/coordinate or carry out activities, associated with manufacture, installation, isolation/de - isolation, permit to work, commissioning, operation and maintenance/repair of equipment and systems as required.
Carry out technical inspection, prepare reports with recommendations and/or arrange necessary action and develop method sheets for major plant as required.
Manage maintenance outage projects in accordance with budget, to time targets whilst maintaining quality standards.
Supervise, monitor performance, coordinate and check works carried out by staff, contractors and consultants.
Prepare/check/assess/coordinate designs, calculations, estimates, sketches, specifications/tenders, working drawings and schedules.

What you will bring:

Advanced TAFE certificate or a TAFE diploma in relevant discipline
A trade certificate in the relevant discipline.
Relevant industry experience, skills and knowledge covering:
- Gas Turbine Operation and Maintenance.
- Inspection/testing practices.
- Equipment maintenance/repair practices and equipment commission/operation practice.
