Planning Lead

Role Description:
The Planning Lead is a newly created opportunity based at our Pinjar Power Station site.
The Planning Lead is responsible for driving the efficient use of resources to deliver prioritised maintenance activities effectively and efficiently. The Planning Lead plays a critical role in ensuring asset reliability, safety, and performance through proactive and strategic maintenance planning.
Job responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership to a high performing team of maintenance co-ordinators and other direct reports who are responsible for planned, preventative, breakdown and project maintenance tasks.
- Lead establishment of a structured maintenance planning and performance reporting framework to ensure effective, efficient, and compliant work management across Gas Generation operations.
- Develop, implement and maintain maintenance plans and associated master data to ensure maintenance and outage work orders include quality and accurate work descriptions, work methods, labour requirements, materials and permit requirements.
- Develop a continuous improvement culture, that endorses and supports the ongoing review and improvement of the work management system, promoting innovation within the team and ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws, consistent with Synergy’s regulatory compliance policy and organisational values.
- Coach and mentor the team to ensure proficient use of the CMMS and ensure the team consistently work to and apply all relevant standards, policies and procedures when planning and co-ordinating maintenance and outage tasks.
What you will bring:
- Trade certificate or diploma in relevant technical field.
- Minimum of 12 years of extensive maintenance planning experience in a power generation environment.
- Understanding of asset lifecycle, condition monitoring, maintenance best practise and reliability principles.
- Proficiency with planning and scheduling tools such as SAP and MS Project.
- Lead and facilitate integrated planning sessions with key stakeholders and skills in managing timelines, resources, and deliverables across multiple maintenance projects.
