Role Description:

The Technical Officer – Pinjar & Regional is an exciting opportunity in our Gas Generation team based at our Pinjar site, with regional travel involved.

The purpose of the role is to carry out high level technical, commercial, and supervisory activities associated with the operation and maintenance of the Pinjar and Regional Gas Turbine Plants both within and external to Synergy.

Reporting to the Technical Team Lead, this role will primarily be responsible for planned and corrective maintenance and outage activities at Gas Generations Regional sites.

Job responsibilities:

  • Undertake operations and maintenance work at the Pinjar and Regional Gas Generation locations.
  • Plan, supervise/coordinate or carry out activities, associated with manufacture, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance/repair of equipment and systems as required.
  • Carry out technical inspection, prepare reports with recommendations and/or arrange necessary action.
  • Coordinate day-to-day Isolation and Permit issuing requirements and perform recipient in charge duties for Contractor related works on site.
  • Organise internal and external resources to meet planned and corrective requirements.

What you will bring:

  • WA Driver’s Licence
  • Certificate IV or above in relevant discipline
  • A trade certificate in Electrical and/or Mechanical discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of Gas Turbines
  • Strong knowledge of inspection/testing practices
